ORDERING INFORMATION and POLICIES

Guarantee:
We hope you will enjoy your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you may return the specimen in its original condition within 10 days from receipt for a full refund. We regret that shipping costs are your responsibility. Please send any returned items to the mailing address below.

Prior Sales:
Each rock or mineral specimen is unique, and there may be more than one person ordering an item. Our policy is to accept the first paid order received. You will be given a prompt refund for any merchandise that is subject to a prior sale.

Insurance and Delivery:
Shipments are either sent with delivery confirmation or are insured for their full value to protect your purchase. The full value is put on customs forms for foreign orders.

ORDERING METHODS

You may order on-line, by mail, or phone.

On-line:
The order form is accessed by clicking "Add to Cart" for the items on our sale pages. We accept Visa and MasterCard, and all credit card orders are secure. Ordering online is the best way to obtain the items that you want.

Phone:
You may phone in your order by calling 612-929-5779 from 9AM to 5PM, Central Time, Monday through Friday. If we are not available, please leave a message and we will return your call. Note that our answering machine may be temporarily turned off during vacations.

PAYMENT

Payment for domestic orders can be made by credit card, check, or money order. International orders can be paid by credit card or bank draft drawn on a USA bank in USA funds. Sorry, but we cannot accept cash or COD orders.

Credit Cards:
We accept VISA and MASTERCARD.

Checks:
We will hold the specimen until your check clears our bank. This may result in a delay in receiving your merchandise.

All purchases will be processed in USA dollars.

SHIPPING

Shipping, handling, and insurance are automatically calculated by our on-line form, but may be subject to refunds or additional charges if the actual cost varies significantly from the calculator.

You should generally receive your purchase within 7 to 10 business days, but it may take slightly longer if we are not available when your order is placed.

Shipments are generally made by the United States Postal Service. Shipping rates are subject to change with postal increases.

All books are shipped by the United States Postal Service to take advantage of their special book shipping rates.

International orders for both books and specimens are shipped via the USPS, and may take longer than 7 to 10 days to receive. If the actual shipping costs are significantly cheaper than our standard international fee, we can issue a credit to your charge card. If the mailing costs are significantly more due to weight or any other reason, you will be notified of the extra cost to ship your purchase. Effective May 14, 2007, all foreign orders will be sent airmail due to new U.S. postal regulations limiting the less costly surface shipping. Please note that it is our policy to indicate the full value on customs forms.

TAX

Shipments to Minnesota residents will be charged state and local taxes. Our on-line order form automatically calculates these taxes.
